The Wordings Sub-Group reported progress on a programme of work to modernise and harmonise livestock and bloodstock wordings. Members agreed proposed changes aimed at improving consistency between consumer policy forms used in different jurisdictions.
The Panel also reviewed progress on a wording and endorsement mapping tool intended to help identify the correct and most up-to-date forms for use in different territories. Members considered that this would benefit both underwriters and brokers.
Further discussions covered development of a model wording for stallion permanent disability cover associated with artificial insemination risks, drafting of Insurance Product Information Documents (IPIDs) for European consumer business, and progress on amendments to existing exclusion clauses.
