Description
The LMA Property Insurance Claims Group (PICG) invites you to an event discussing forensic meteorology.
Attendees will learn about the different sources of weather information available on the internet and how they’re frequently inaccurate or unrepresentative compared to what actually occurred at the property location.
The session will examine automated vendor hail and wind reports, their accuracy and how they’ve come under more scrutiny with the courts. The speakers will highlight the growing trend of retaining forensic meteorologists to do a meteorological hail and wind analyses for the property to accurately determine what occurred at a loss location. This reliable information can help adjusters make informed claims coverage decisions and give attorneys reliable information to help navigate a lawsuit.
Delegates will also learn why engineers are more frequently engaging forensic meteorologists to provide them with accurate weather information as opposed to conducting their own weather review.
