The LMA Delegated Authority Committee (LMADAC) is the senior governance body representing delegated authority (DA) interests across the Lloyd’s market. Comprising leaders from underwriting, claims, operations and compliance, the committee reflects the full spectrum of disciplines within the DA ecosystem. Members are appointed by the LMA and serve to represent the collective interests of the Lloyd’s DA community, reporting directly to the LMA Board.
The LMA Delegated Authority Committee operates as a strategic forum, bringing together DA stakeholders to respond collaboratively to operational, regulatory and commercial developments. It provides market leadership in influencing future DA models, ensuring alignment with the needs of all parties in the distribution chain and the practical realities of delegated business.
The committee is responsible for setting strategic direction and establishing priorities that support DA practitioners across multiple disciplines. Key focus areas include:

In 2020, with the support of the LMA Board, LMADAC launched the DARE (Delegated Authority Reimagined) initiative to re-imagine the future of delegated authority. Following the successful delivery of the DARE end-to-end vision and its alignment with the Future at Lloyd’s programme, the committee is now progressing Phase 2 to implement key components of that vision.
