Errors & Omission Committee – 10 June 2025

Elaine Perry provided an update on Lloyd’s cycle management, construction market insights and recent market messaging, highlighting increased fragility, targeted oversight and heightened scrutiny of Delegated Authorities. She noted rising construction-related claims activity and continued volatility driven by the U.S., while emphasising stable wording across most lines despite pockets of coverage creep and social inflation pressures, particularly in medical malpractice. Subscription market brokerage transparency remained a concern, with LMA guidance expected. The committee also reviewed actions relating to claims data standardisation, presentation opportunities, cyber clause usage and Project Spring Clean. Updates were shared on emerging claims trends, international E&O developments and proposed committee objectives.
