The June International Casualty Reinsurance Panel focused on transactional liability, cyber accumulation scenarios and emerging casualty exposures. Members agreed to maintain dialogue with the Transactional Liability Working Group, recognising growing overlap between direct and reinsurance markets. Topics identified for future discussion included reserving, aggregation, tax-credit risk exposures, underwriting fees, data standardisation and reinsurance purchasing practices. Project Spring Clean remained an important agenda item, with the panel reviewing outdated ACOD clauses and planning a working-group-led review. Cyber discussions centred on refreshed Lloyd’s realistic disaster scenarios, including cloud-provider outages, malware supply-chain attacks, major CRM data breaches and systemic ERP disruptions. Members also reviewed Lloyd’s efforts to develop a standard SME cyber wording to address protection gaps. AI emerged as a recurring cross-class issue affecting cyber, professional indemnity, D&O and general liability classes, with concerns around copyright infringement, legal privilege and AI model liability. Additional discussions covered the Burnett abuse claims database, the International Bodily Injury Index, war clause issues, data centre aggregation risks and evolving commercial crime exposures.
