The Joint Specie Committee met on 03 June and focused on several areas of development and emerging interest, including further work on the CIT draft following broker comments and the conclusion of the expert fee pilot and preparation of guidance to support potential wider market adoption.  Members also noted progress on proposed digital asset and data centre risk code descriptions, with attention to timing and market planning implications. New areas of interest included the potential focus of the November Education Forum on artificial intelligence and its implications for specie underwriting, fraud risk, document authenticity and legal considerations, alongside a European market request for high-level specie training content for secondee underwriters.
