The Political Risks, Credit & Financial Contingencies Business Panel discussed the Political Risk Market Oversight update, including the new RDS pilot data return, omission of the RS code from excluded risk codes and plans to review Lloyd’s Bulletin Y5191. Audrey Zuck updated the panel on CRD/Basel developments, the Insurance Association’s responses to European regulatory consultations and the need to maintain focus on credit insurance. The panel reviewed the Annual Trade Credit Claims Survey, late claims payments, sanctions-related delays, Velonetic processing timelines and concerns around LSW1865 wording. Updates were provided on the PRI “Lessons Learnt” working party, NKF fundraising and events, forthcoming training, the July joint meeting with the PR Claims Panel, the emerging professionals group and the value of in-person market meetings.
