The LMA Finance team supports managing agents by monitoring financial developments that impact syndicates across the Lloyd’s market. The team focuses on areas such as accounting, financial reporting, taxation, capital management and treasury-related matters, ensuring that members are equipped to respond to regulatory and policy changes.
These developments may originate from Lloyd’s, the UK Government, international regulatory bodies or global standard-setters, including the PRA, FCA, European Commission, NAIC and other overseas authorities.
The Finance team works closely with several departments at Lloyd’s, particularly Market Finance, Tax, Treasury and Exposure Management, to ensure that the market’s financial voice is effectively represented.
The team manages the LMA Finance Committee (FINCOM), which leads the development of market-wide guidance and coordinates input into consultations. It also supports key working groups focused on technical issues such as market returns, premium processing, and strategic capital planning.
