Market initiatives
The HR and LMA Academy team plays a vital role in supporting LMA members and the wider market by developing technical expertise and broadening the talent pipeline. We work in close partnership with our members, Lloyd’s and other market associations to drive forward key initiatives that shape the future of the market.
Recent contributions include offering feedback on proposed updates to Lloyd’s principles-based oversight (PBO) model, participating in the consultation on the Lloyd’s gender ambition, and engaging with a range of government, regulatory and Lloyd’s consultations.
In addition, we collaborate closely with the London Market Group (LMG) and are proud to fully support the London Insurance Life campaign, which focuses on attracting the next generation of talent to the London insurance market.
The team has collaborated with the London and International Insurance Brokers Association (LIIBA) and the International Underwriting Association (IUA) to create and develop a market-wide training programme on Non-Financial Misconduct. The training equips key stakeholders across the London market with the knowledge, tools and strategies needed to enhance workplace culture, governance and compliance with FCA expectations.
